2011 signalled the 20th anniversary of the brand. How far has it come?. In 2004 when the Pigalle was shown for the first time, Christian Louboutin did not even register on Google's most queried search for shoes. Today it registers a whopping 45% of all searches for luxury footwear, sells 600,000 pairs a year and clocked in $250m last year .

I think both Kates are deserving of the award, but would have to go with Kate Walsh this year. She's been an extraordinary ambassador for the brand and the model.
ReplyDeleteMoving forward, I'd love to see Kate Middleton in some Pigalles, but it's just not going to happen. The Royals would view it as much too provocative. So, I'd be glad to see Emmanuelle Chriqui don some of these heels.
My favorites of the year were Dianna Agron and Bridget Moynahan. Both looked amazing in black Pigalles some months back.
ReplyDeleteRenee Zellweger is a waste of Louboutins, in my opinion. Her Hillary Clinton-face turns me off.
My wish list would include Heather Graham, who for some reason mostly wears strappies nowadays. Ironically, she wore a pair of black stilletto pumps at the 1997 MTV movie awards, when most celebrities were wearing strappies. I want to see her wear some black Pigalles on the red carpet.
Others that I would like to see are Nicole Kidman, Rachel Nichols, Rachael Taylor, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Teresa Palmer, Jennifer Morrison, and Jenna Elfman.
I would like to see Kate Beckinsale wear them again, as she seems to sticking with those silly platforms in recent years. There are few as sexy as she when she wore black Pigalles at the Live Free or Die Hard premieres!
I totally agree with Kate Middleton as a strong hopeful--she would look amazing, but don't forget Pippa!
