 Well looks like Christmas came early for us this year with our 1000th post!. It took us over 3 months to put this special post together so sit back and enjoy!

Last year, we featured the Casedei blade pump- a very similar looking design to the Pigalle that was popular with celebs (which it still is ) and thought it would be the last of them. Looks like another major designer has followed suit in his recently released 2012 collection.

Jimmy Choo- the reigning king of footwear from the late 90's till the early '00's  before Manolo Blahnik (more from him in a moment) and eventually Christian Louoboutin took his crown, released "Anouk"- a 120mm pointy heel with a look very similar to a cross between a pigalle ,lipsinka and a bit of the casedei blade in there. It was so close, especially in patent black that we found ourselves double guessing for days if they were indeed pigalles.

Manolo Blahnik, not wanting to be left behind, does not have exact copies in his new collection, but come pretty close as can be seen in the designs of  pitita and corolla

Louboutin , no slouch himself is adding to the Pigalle family, by releasing the online only exclusive- Pigalle Botta - think of them as Pigalles for winter

Finally, we have had a bumper year so far, and our backlog of posts has now exceeded 1 year. To cut it down, and to be more relevant, we have decided that going forward, we will be now publishing twice a day- the regular at 9 AM GST and again at 6 PM GST. Should the backlog hit 1 year worth of posts again  we will then publish thrice a day, so lets see where the future takes us!.
